Krachel surprises Natalia with the kind note a quilting fan left on Facebook, and Natalia recalls her own start in the quilting industry. This week commemorates National First Responders Day, a day we can all pay tribute to those who serve and protect our freedom and our rights. Krachel recalls an experience she had while shadowing local Search & Rescue volunteers in the search for a missing hunter, and then the ladies introduce Jessica Bloomberg, a Stamford police officer who is using her own quilting skills to pay it forward. Krachel and Natalia have some heartwarming stories this week, beginning with the upscale transportation service providing rides for children and teens who have disabilities. They have stories from the kitchen, including the scary knock at Krachel's front door. Plus, meet 17-year old Sarah Frei, otherwise known as #SarahStrong. Sarah and three of her friends were headed home from the lake when they were hit head on by a drunk driver. All four teens sustained critical injuries, and waited nearly an hour before help arrived. Sarah, her parents and two sisters join us to share their incredible story.
